Chevron Australia partnered with WA’s largest disability support services provider, the Activ Foundation and radio station Nova 93.7, to deliver Action for Activ Day - a joint effort to supercharge fundraising efforts for the Chevron City to Surf for Activ.

Held on Tuesday 20 June, Chevron Australia matched all donations received on the day, doubling the fundraising total and, more importantly, enhancing the support that Activ can provide to Western Australians living with disability.

Together, we raised $310,673 to support the Activ Foundation.

Activ Foundation CEO Michael Heath said funds raised from the Action for Activ Day would go to enabling people with disability to pursue a better life.

“The funds will go towards a range of services including providing disability accommodation options that can be tailored to an individual’s needs and taste, through to offering training options for people living with disability to upskill and work towards employment,” Heath said.

“Activ has been working with Western Australians living with disability, their families, and carers for more than 70 years and, as a charity, we’re extremely grateful for everyone who took part and donated on Action for Activ Day."

Chevron Australia City to Surf Ambassador Peter McNally, who leads the company’s workforce participation in the Chevron City to Surf as Team Captain, was delighted with the community support.

“Chevron Australia is proud to partner with Activ to ensure they can continue doing what they do best – supporting the thousands of Western Australians living with disability,” Mr McNally said.

“Thank you to everyone who donated and made Action Day for Activ such a success.”

The Chevron City to Surf will take place in Karratha on Sunday 30 July and Perth on 27 August.
