The Chevron-operated Wheatstone project and the Swan Districts Football Club have renewed their partnership for another three years, with a new agreement that will see the Swans continue to play an integral role in Onslow, Western Australia.

The Swan Districts Football Club’s V Swans program has been part of the Onslow community since 2008. This year the V Swans welcomed a rebrand to Swans Onslow to align with other Swans social impact programs running in Perth and Roebourne.

With Chevron Australia's support, the Swans aim to create opportunities through greater engagement in education, improving health and wellbeing and enhancing community connections.

In Onslow, the Swans provide opportunities for growth and connection from Early Years programs for children aged up to 9 year olds, to the Youth Shed for 10-18 year olds. In 2022, more than 600 opportunities and activities were delivered by Swans, with 281 young people participating from the local community.

The Chevron-operated Wheatstone project's contribution supports Swans’ staff to be based in Onslow, as a part of the community beyond the services they provide.

Chevron is proud to enter into this new agreement in support of the Swans’ programs and their positive impact to social, educational, employment and health outcomes in Onslow.

“With Chevron Australia’s support, Swans can continue to focus on improving the lives of the people in the community through creating greater engagement in education, improving health and wellbeing and enhancing community connections, all leading to increased opportunity. The incredible support from Chevron allows our Swans staff to be based in Onslow, and be part of the community too, not just a service provider.”
