our active role in onslow
We play an active role in supporting the community of Onslow, Western Australia located near the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project.
Together with the Western Australian Government and our joint venture partners, we are continuing to make significant investments in and around Onslow to ensure it remains a vibrant and sustainable regional community. Since 2011, more than $355 million has been committed to social and critical infrastructure projects to upgrade health, education and recreation services and facilities, as well as road, power and water infrastructure.
This includes $30 million towards the Onslow Airport, $7 million towards the Onslow Aquatic Centre, $22 million to the Onslow Hospital redevelopment, $2 million to a new St John Ambulance sub-centre and $106 million towards the Onslow microgrid which utilises natural gas and renewable energy sources to provide a smoother supply of power to the community.
We're committed to keeping the Onslow community informed about our operations. For more information, join our Wheatstone in Onslow Facebook group or contact us.
