chevron and zero2hero stand up for young minds
That is why we have committed a further $2.3 million to mental health organisation zero2hero to support the ongoing delivery of resilience and compassion building programs for young people across Perth and the Pilbara.
As Empowerment Partner, Chevron Australia will assist zero2hero to impact 38,000 young people over the next three years, with a focus on mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
zero2hero Chief Executive Officer Ashlee Harrison said the organisation was thrilled to continue its partnership with Chevron Australia, following the scale of growth the partnership has fuelled over the past three years.
“Simply put, without this support thousands of young people would not benefit from our mental health and wellbeing programs.
“The rates of youth mental health and suicide are at crisis levels, unless we invest in prevention, we will not see this shift."
General Manager of Strategy, Planning and Commercial, Wes Johnson, said Chevron Australia was proud to renew our commitment to zero2hero.
“We are delighted to continue to support the important work of zero2hero, engaging and empowering young people across Perth and regional WA to become mental health heroes,” he said.
“Zero2hero programs engage tens of thousands of young people, providing them with the knowledge and tools to positively manage and maintain their mental health and support others to do the same.”
thrilled to continue partnership
“I applaud Chevron Australia for joining us in standing up for young minds. Together we will be able to empower a further 38,000 young people across this great State."
We envision a world where every child and young person is educated and empowered to effectively deal with mental health issues. By creating safe environments, having open conversations, and empowering young leaders, we aim to decrease the stigma that surrounds mental illness and make it a part of normal every day life!
