feature chevron city to surf for activ returns for 50th year
Chevron Australia was excited to join Activ Foundation for the launch of the 2024 Chevron City to Surf for Activ last week, as the event returns to celebrate 50 years of running, walking and rolling.
Chevron has been proud to partner with Activ Foundation to support the event since 2010, with all funds raised going directly to help improve the lives of people living with disability in Western Australia.
Activ Foundation CEO Michael Heath said the event remained one of its most important fundraising opportunities and recognised Chevron for our ongoing support.
“Chevron’s commitment to investing back into the community resonates with Activ and the event, which uplifts opportunities, accessibility, and independence for all, but particularly those people living with disability in WA.”

Chevron Australia Managing Director Mark Hatfield said the company was delighted to join the community in celebrating the 50-year anniversary of the event.
“The Chevron City to Surf for Activ is one of the longest-standing and most loved community events in WA and we are proud to be a part of the team bringing it to the streets of Karratha and Perth, Mark said.
We look forward to joining participants in August to commemorate this important milestone, but more importantly, seeing the incredible impact Activ continues to make in the lives of people living with disability.
The Chevron City to Surf for Activ holds the record for being Chevron’s highest workforce participation event, with site events also held in Onslow and Barrow Island, where the Wheatstone and Gorgon Projects are located, to enable everyone to join in the fun.
The Chevron City to Surf for Activ will take place in Karratha on Sunday 28 July and in Perth on Sunday 25 August.
