feature the spirit of giving
At Chevron Australia, we believe our business succeeds best when the people we work with and the communities we operate in succeed too.
That’s why we help local community groups extend their positive reach through the Onslow Community Spirit Fund.
This year, four organisations received a share of more than $17,000 of grant funding – assistance that makes a great impact in small and remote communities like Onslow.
We invest in programs which contribute to areas of health, education, economic development, environment and building a sense of community.
Like the Onslow St John Ambulance Sub Centre, who are using their funding to purchase a new defibrillator and important equipment to help train local volunteers.
Or the Onslow Primary School P&C Association, who are helping local kids and their families learn more about nutrition through their healthy eating program.
The Onslow Sports Club are putting their grant toward maintenance of their new bowling green, while local swimming club The Onslow Occy’s are looking forward to using their funds for lane hire and trophies as they kick off their first full year of training and competition.

“There will be plenty of mums and dads in Onslow who might have hesitated before the grant was announced but whose kids will now be able to join the club. This will make a positive difference to our kid’s health outcomes in Onslow.”
